GCH CH Kingsmere Bombshell Bliss RATN RATO BCAT CGC
(GCH Kingsmere Stop Traffic x GCH Bullcreeks Babyface Jackson)
DOB: April 2, 2017
Bren has always been a go-anywhere, do-anything kind of girl. She is a fast learner and gives her all to every event that she tries, including but not limited to; Barn hunt, Earth dog, Dock diving, FASTCAT, Conformation, Rally, Agility, and more! She has an exceptional character, and an endearing presence about her, inside and outside of the home. She loves to have her belly rubbed and nurse her favorite chuckit ball or squeaky toy, but also loves to dance around the yard with a toy in her mouth, springing off of the dog beds and bouncing around in the dirt. She earned the nickname "Pigpen" as a baby, and has yet to outlive the title. Bren is very biddable, especially for a MBT, and is a pleasure to train, as well as live with - she makes us laugh every day and gives the best, sweetest cuddles. She has opinions and is not shy about sharing them, and she brings joy to everyone that she meets. We love this girly!
What's in a name?
The ever so tiny but mighty miss Bren! I didn't have a name picked out until after I brought her home. In my search for names from around the same era as George Gershwin, I was stuck on the idea of naming her after a famous pin-up girl. Rosie the Riveter was too unoriginal and I wasn't finding many names that actually stood out, then I found this gal named Veronica "Ronnie" Foster, who is essentially the Canadian version of Rosie the Riveter... They called her "The Bren Gun Girl" because she built machine guns for the war. Bren guns (usually simply called the Bren) are a series of light machine guns originally made by Britain in the 1930s. Bren's registered name (Kingsmere Bombshell Bliss) was chosen by me. Kingsmere is her breeder's kennel name, Bombshell because she's a knockout (and her mama is named after Sophia Loren), and Bliss as a tribute to my late grandmother, who passed away the week before I brought Bren home, who told me once to follow my bliss. Nicknames include: Pigpen, Brennybeans, Brenjamin, Tiny Dog, Brendella.
Bren was awarded 4-6 month Puppy Group 2 in her first show at 5 months old, and at her second 4-6 mo Puppy show at the Grand Junction show in late 2017, she was awarded Terrier Group 1 and Best Puppy in Show! Bren acquired her Canine Good Citizen title on October 12, 2017 at 6 months old. In her first year of showing she has accumulated multiple Puppy and Owner-Handler group placements (finishing at #6 Owner-Handled Miniature Bull Terrier in 2018), participated in multiple sporting events such as; Barn Hunt where she acquired her RATN title in her debut weekend, FASTCAT where she gained some points towards her first title and ran at a clocked speed of 20.87mph, Earth Dog where she passed her Intro to Quarry test by reaching the rat quarry and "working" the quarry for a consistent 30 seconds. With all of that, she has gained her Puppy of Achievement award in 2018. At the Santa Barbara Specialty Show in August 2018, she was shown in the Breeder's Showcase alongside her mother, GCH CH Kingsmere Stop Traffic "Sophia," where they earned Group 4 placement out of a massive 25-pair Terrier group. She became a champion on September 9, 2018 by earning Best of Breed for a 3-pt major over 3 top-winning, multiple Best in Show/Specialty Miniature Bull Terriers (all 3 of which were the top 3 All-Breed Miniature Bull Terriers in the country that year, and shown by professional handlers). To end her first year of showing with a bang; in Huron, Ohio for her second Nationals at 18 months old, she was awarded an Award of Merit at the MBTCA Specialty I under Breeder Judge Malcolm Presland, Best Colored Bitch, Best of Opposite Sex and Runner-Up to Winner of the 2018 Van Hildrikhusen Trophy Show under Breeder Judges Linda McGregor, Humberto Lara, and Giselle Simonds, and last but not least she was awarded Select Bitch at the National Specialty, along with an invitation to 2019 & 2020 Crufts International Dog Show under Breeder Judge Susie Harris. Less than a year after earning her Championship, she earned her Grand Championship, and is continuing to rack up her Grand Champion points, has so far earned Select Bitch under breeder judge Gayle Denman, Best of Opposite Sex under breeder judge Norma Smith, and Select Bitch/BOBOH under breeder judge Gordon Smith.
We have big plans for her future in dog sports and as a breeding bitch.

Simi Valley Kennel Club - August 24, 2018 - Judge Stuart Cairns
"Another lovely marked brindle with a nice long filled head. Mouth is good with nice expression and ear set. Front is beautifully straight with a nice shoulder. The weakness on this girl is a straight stifle otherwise she is a very pretty package. Movement is good coming, a little choppy going. Won the class with her maturity because her virtues on the front end far outweighed"
Best of Opposite Sex
Kennel Club of Pasadena - June 1, 2019 - Judge Colin 'Skip' Greaney
"Compact brindle and white with a clever blaze between her eyes. A gentle profile not lacking anywhere. Good depth of muzzle with well-placed eye, great power and bone for a lady and she just gleamed. From the side she is the perfect silhouette. Would like a bit more fore chest but she was easy to find and a joy to go over."
Best of Opposite Sex
Kennel Club of Pasadena - MBTCA Concurrent Specialty - June 2, 2019 - Judge Cleo Parker
"Elegant well marked brindle and white girl. She has a smooth, gently turned profile, adequate fill that extends down her muzzle, correct mouth, good expression. Long neck that flows smoothly into her topline, well-laid shoulder, to be critical she could be a bit more angulated in the rear. This bitch's proportions are lovely. Moves cleanly in front, a bit wide in the rear."
Best of Opposite Sex
Santa Barbara Kennel Club - MBTCA Specialty - August 24, 2019 - Judge Norma Smith
"Very typey well-marked brindle and white. Enough bone for size. Pretty head with good fill, neat dark well-set eye and ears bang on top. Strong short back. Could wish for a bit more turn of stifle."
Bren at 2 years 10 months old being officially wicketed at 15" at the withers.
